Beyond the pump price

Dated exchange rates and weekly national references add context. They do not replace the individual station prices above.

Compare in another currency

Uses the latest ECB rate on or before your chosen date, up to seven days earlier. Reference rates are informational, not transaction rates; fees are not included. Station prices stay in their original currency.

Published national averages, not today's station quotes. Reporting methods and fuel blends can differ from the local sample. The difference between tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive prices is calculated here; it is not a retailer's margin or profit. Rounding may make displayed components differ slightly.

Before you choose a station

  1. Compare like with like

Use the same fuel grade, currency, unit and service type. A price per kilogram or cubic metre cannot be compared directly with a price per litre.

  2. Check the observation time

An observation date is not a live pump-price guarantee. Stations update at different times; confirm the displayed price and opening hours before travelling.

  3. Make the detour worthwhile

Compare the total cost of your fill-up, not just the unit price. Include the extra distance, fuel used and time needed to reach a cheaper station.

Coverage shows stations observed by Fuel Price Hub, not every station in the country. Counts and averages can change as the observed sample changes.

German coverage combines observations collected at different times. It is not a simultaneous national price survey.
